Bilthoven Biologicals and HU University Of Applied Sciences sign for collaboration

Bilthoven Biologicals (BBio) and the Institute of Life Sciences & Chemistry (ILC) of the HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht have signed a cooperation agreement at the ILC Career Day of the HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht. The aim of the collaboration is to facilitate internships and work on joint education and research projects. The projects focus on improving the business processes and expanding the activities at BBio.

BBio is a biopharmaceutical company based in Bilthoven, the Netherlands, that focuses on the development, production and sale of vaccines against human infectious diseases. Our Partner, The Institute of Life Science & Chemistry of the HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht, trains students for biopharmaceutical research, among other things, with the Life Sciences, Chemistry and Chemical Engineering programmes and the ‘Innovative Testing’ research group.

Investing in education

Janneke van den Hooff, MS&T manager at BBio, emphasized the importance of investing in education and future talents: “Our commitment to society goes beyond the development of vaccines. By partnering with HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht, we aim to contribute to the education of the next generation of experts who will lead the biopharmaceutical industry.”

The partnership with BBio not only provides a unique learning environment, but also enables our students to contribute to innovative developments in the fight against infectious diseases.”
