Competition: Make Utrecht Science Park more beautiful, more sustainable and greener!

How can we make Utrecht Science Park greener and more sustainable? Energy production and biodiversity do not always go hand in hand. Lack of space on the Utrecht Science Park results in us having to make choices and come up with innovative solutions. Do you have a smart and innovative idea to generate solar energy AND enhance biodiversity on the science park? If you do, please compete in this sustainable competition.

We want to make the Utrecht Science Park greener and more sustainable. Lack of space in the Utrecht Science Park calls for innovative solutions, for example in the field of energy generation and biodiversity. We can make good use of the brainpower of all users of the Utrecht Science Park!

To this purpose, Utrecht University has launched a competition. Until 21 May, all students and staff on the Utrecht Science Park can submit their idea to make the Utrecht Science Park more beautiful, sustainable and green. The best idea will be executed in Utrecht Science Park and wins 500 euros.

The assignment

Do you have an innovative idea to make Utrecht Science Park more beautiful, more sustainable and greener? An idea which generates solar power and contributes to more biodiversity? We are looking for a design which can be scaled up and makes clever use of the space. So think in three dimensions. For instance, take some inspiration from the citytree, sedum roofs on bus shelters and energy gardens.

Participating

Everyone can participate, individually or in teams. Your idea and design can be submitted and sent to duurzaamheid@uu.nl. The proposal may be brief and concise. The design and the proposal have to meet a number of conditions.
