Primera in Utrecht Science Park closes its doors
The Primera, which has been on Coimbrapad in the Utrecht Science Park (USP) since 2004, will close its doors on 1 September. Jacqueline Koster, who has owned the shop from the beginning, has indicated she is unable to keep the shop open due to health reasons.
In consultation with her, the university has terminated the lease early. The university wishes Jacqueline and her loved ones much strength in the time ahead. The Primera fulfils an important function in the USP for students and staff. At present, there is no sight of a new use for the shop location. Based on Utrecht University's vision for hospitality and retail in the USP, a new and appropriate interpretation is being sought.
