Regular tram schedule on FC Utrecht match days and Open Day HU and UU
From 2025, the tram will run as standard on FC Utrecht's Eredivisie match days. The tram will also run at weekends during the Open Day of HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht and Utrecht University. A long-cherished wish will thus come true.
Several pilots were already carried out during FC Utrecht's league matches and open days at the Utrecht Science Park in 2024. Thanks in part to the success of these pilots, it was decided to make the tram standard practice on weekends when football is played or when prospective students travel for the Open Day.
Adjusted tram timetable
If FC Utrecht plays at home or the HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht or Utrecht University has an open day on Saturday, the tram runs all day from 08.00 am to 23.30 pm. For FC Utrecht home matches on Sunday, the tram timetable applies from 10.30 am to 11.30 pm. For weekday Eredivisie matches, the tram runs longer in the evening until 23.30.
From Nieuwegein and IJsselstein, the tram will continue via Utrecht Zuid and Utrecht Centraal to Stadion Galgenwaard and Utrecht Science Park. The tram will run in both directions, including from Utrecht Science Park towards Stadion Galgenwaard and beyond.
