Utrecht Science Week 2025
From 26 September to 5 October, we enjoy a rich and varied programme of appealing lectures, interactive workshops, guided tours and high-profile interviews, around (applied) science at the Utrecht Science Park. Events such as the Betweter Festival, the Weekend van de Wetenschap and the Sustainability Day are also part of the programme.

About Utrecht Science Week
Utrecht Science Week is a vibrant event where you will enjoy a varied programme on sustainability and healthy living. The programme includes engaging lectures, interactive workshops, guided tours and high-profile interviews, around (applied) science at the Utrecht Science Park. Events such as the Betweter Festival, Weekend van de Wetenschap and Dag van de Duurzaamheid are also part of the programme. All these events take place at various locations at the Utrecht Science Park.
For instance, there are programme elements for employees, students and professionals in the fields of life sciences, healthcare and sustainability. There is also much of interest for the wider public and younger audiences.
Weekend van de Wetenschap
Weekend van de Wetenschap (Weekend of Science) is on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 October and takes place across the country, in different cities. From library to company, and from university to science park. Everyone opens their doors, so visitors get a unique look behind the scenes in the world of science and technology. Everyone is welcome, because science is of course for everyone, but the focus is on families with children aged between 8 and 14. Betweter Festival
On Friday 26 September, the Betweter Festival is at Tivoli Vredenburg. The Betweter Festival is a mix of art and science. You will enjoy various talks, interviews, film, music and live scientific research. Listen to stories behind the facts, embrace doubt and ask the questions that matter. Working together
We collaborate with many organisations based at the Utrecht Science Park: UMC Utrecht, HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht, Utrecht University, Utrecht Inc., Hubrecht Institute, Genmab, Danone Nutricia & Princess Máxima Center.
