Initiative fund campaign ‘A good idea? Just like that!'
The municipality of Utrecht offers the Initiatievenfonds (Initiative Fund). Utrecht citizens can apply for funds from this to make the city, their neighbourhood or street nicer, greener, more beautiful or more sociable. Wijkbureau Oost, municipal contact point for the district, now focuses on students in the city, starting with the Utrecht Science Park (USP).
Earlier, cooperation was sought with students from the Communication and Multimedia Design programme at HU University of Applied Sciences Utrecht. This resulted in the campaign 'A good idea? Just like that!' All students have to do is let the municipality know why their idea is so good, why it would be worthwhile for their neighbours, fellow students or associations, how much it would cost and how it would contribute to a cosier, greener and more social Utrecht Science Park. The municipality will check whether it is feasible and then their idea can be implemented.
Contributing your idea?
On 25 and 26 March and 2 April, employees of the district office will be at the Utrecht Science Park to remove an initial barrier. They will be happy to engage in conversation and will have posters, beer mats and bags to give you more information about the initiative fund. Want to know more now or submit an application yourself?
