Rob Pieters: 'We are extremely excited to welcome Martin Garrix as our new ambassador. His support will help us spread our mission worldwide and make a difference for all children with cancer. Together we can raise awareness about the fact that too many children still die from this disease and that better treatments are urgently needed. International cooperation is crucial to make progress and increase survival rates and improve the quality of life of children who are cured.'
This afternoon, the world-famous DJ visited the Máxima and gave a DJ clinic for our children and their families. He also visited some children in their rooms, as they were unable to attend the DJ clinic.
Below is a first reaction of our brand-new ambassador to this special event.
Martin Garrix: 'I think it's fantastic what the Princess Máxima Center does for children with cancer. I know that so many children worldwide still die from this disease. That motivates me to contribute to Máxima's important mission to cure every child with cancer, with the best possible quality of life. It is an honour to be part of an organisation that plays such an important role in the lives of these children.'
