Replacement of tram platform furniture at WKZ/Maxima stop
The tram and bus stops at UMC Utrecht, Heidelberglaan and Padualaan at the Utrecht Science Park have recently been redesigned. The new platform furniture offers much more comfort for passengers. From this Friday 22 November, the WKZ/Maxima stop will be upgraded. This will last until 9 December 2024.
Work will take place both on weekdays and weekends. The roofs will be constructed during the weekends (Friday evening 10.30 pm - Monday morning 05.15 am). The finishing of the roofs and the installation of other elements (waste bins, check-in and check-out posts, light poles) will take place during the week. Incidental work may also take place at night, when the tram is not running.
Tram and bus stop WKZ/Maxima decommissioned
During the works, the tram will basically run according to the regular timetable. With the exception of some weeks where the tram will pass, but will not stop at a tram stop. Nor will the bus stop at this stop. Get off at the P+R stop.
- From 25 November - 29 November, there will be no tram stops at the WKZ/Maxima stop. Tram passengers should therefore get on or off at the P+R stop.
- From 2 December - 6 December, no buses stop at the WKZ/Maxima stop. Bus passengers can use the P+R bus stop.
- On weekends between 22 November and 8 December, buses will not stop at the WKZ/Maxima stop.
On Monday morning, 9 December, the tram and bus will again stop at the redesigned WKZ/Maxima stop.
Due to the works, it is advisable to check the travel planner for the current travel advice prior to your trip.
