Work-in-Nature Day at Utrecht Science Park

Do you like to get your hands in the soil and contribute to the biodiversity of the Utrecht Science Park? Then we are looking for you! On Tuesday 8 October, Utrecht University organises another Work-In-Nature Day. Coffee, tea, lunch and sweets will be provided. Will you be there?

Getting started

You can sign up for the morning shift from 9 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. or the afternoon shift from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. We will gather behind the Earth Simulation Laboratory, Princetonlaan 4 (GPS-coordinates: 52.089360, 5.165178). Each timeslot starts with a short introduction and a tour by Landschap Erfgoed Utrecht. The work includes pruning shrubs and raking and removing grass clippings with wheelbarrows, to prepare the northwest corner for the winter season.

Prepare yourself well

Make sure you wear sturdy shoes and long trousers and choose clothes that can get dirty. The organisation will provide all tools, including special gardening gloves. If you have your own handy tools, you are of course welcome to bring them along. Please note: even if it rains, the Work-In-Nature Day will continue.

The Work-In-Nature Day is an initiative of Campus & Facilities and Green Office Universiteit Utrecht
