Construction of the International School Utrecht on the Utrecht Science Park starts this autumn
The construction of the International School Utrecht (ISU) on the Utrecht Science Park will start this autumn. The arrival of the ISU will be a great addition to and enrichment of the Utrecht Science Park and the city of Utrecht. With the ISU, the Utrecht Science Park will have an even broader educational offer and the international climate of the Utrecht region (and the Utrecht Science Park) will become stronger.
The International School Utrecht will be located on Cambridgelaan at the Utrecht Science Park. The building will provide sufficient spaces for teaching and learning with various facilities, including indoor and outdoor sports facilities, a theatre, spaces for visual arts and design, music studios, science labs and green spaces for outdoor learning. In addition, the building includes both childcare and out-of-school facilities.
Construction of the International School Utrecht will start in autumn 2024. The new building will be operational in 2027.
About International School Utrecht
ISU has existed since 2012 and has been in several temporary units since opening. With the new building on the Utrecht Science Park, ISU will have a permanent location. Currently, the school has almost 1,200 students between the ages of 4 and 18, with 60 different nationalities. The ISU offers appropriate education to children of international parents who spend an average of 3 years in the Netherlands. Worldwide children follow the same curriculum in English. This allows them to change countries and schools without getting behind. The ISU also provides appropriate education to Dutch children returning from abroad with their families, or leaving abroad with their parents in the near future.
