Challenge the Status Quo 2024

On 29 November, hollandbio organises the second edition of the Challenge the status quo event, an afternoon full of inspiration, ideas, optimism and connection, with the theme: working together in transitions. Dive into the art of collaboration together, a topic of not inconsiderable importance for everyone involved in innovation: after all, collaboration is not only crucial in the final steps on the way to practice, but is the common thread throughout the life sciences innovation chain.

The healthcare debate is under high tension. You only have to open the newspaper and it is clear: a care infarct seems inevitable. An increasing demand for care and ever-newer treatment options are driving up healthcare costs (not to mention health gains), while hands at the bedside are hard to find and budgetary pressures continue to mount. How do we ensure that new drugs, cell and gene therapies, diagnostics and vaccines will reach healthcare practice now and in the future, so that they can fulfil their health promise?

The good news: everyone seems increasingly aware that a real change of direction is needed: the current healthcare system is squeaking and creaking at the seams. Yet change is proving difficult: interests are high, trust in others is low and rules are rigid. Everyone prefers to bury themselves in their own right. While we know: without real cooperation, we will never succeed.

Hollandbio's Challenge the Status Quo event is therefore entirely dedicated to cooperation in transitions. A subject of not to be underestimated importance for everyone involved in innovation: after all, cooperation is not only crucial in the final steps on the way to practice, but is the common thread throughout the innovation chain of the life sciences sector.

The Challenge the Status Quo event will bring together knowledge, vision, thinking and doing to create a day full of inspiration, ideas, optimism and connection. Are you a dreamer, a doer, visionary or of the details, radical or conservative, young dog or éminence grise: be welcome and register quickly! Because real change requires everyone. After all, alone you go faster, but together you go further.
